COSMETIC EYEBROW FAQS

HOW DO I CHOOSE MY SHAPE?

During the appointment, we do a thorough consultation. We will discuss with you what looks and methods of tattoo may be suitable for you, discuss shape, colour and answer questions you may have about the treatment. We will also design and draw a brow shape for you, so you have a better idea of what cosmetically tattooed eyebrows would look on you and make suggestions regarding colour, hair pattern and shape an how asymmetry can be corrected

IS THE TOUCH UP SESSION NECESSARY?

Yes. This session is critical because everybody heals and responds differently due to areas like skin type through to lifestyle. There are also various specific challenges that may need to be addressed, such as refilling areas that did not take the first time, adjusting the pigment or increasing brow thickness.Additionally, this session is where we make sure your brows look perfect and that the colour is going to hold. After all, the whole point of cosmetic tattooing is to get great brows, so you want to do everything possible to ensure that outcome.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER?

Initially the colour of your treatment looks a lot darker than you expect. This is perfectly normal immediately following a treatment and usually lasts between three to five days. Unless you have specifically requested a darker colour, by the end of eight weeks your permanent cosmetics will have settled down into a soft muted colour. The treatment area may feel a little tender for a few days; swelling is minimal and usually disappears within 24 hours.

HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT LAST?

A colour boost is recommended to freshen up your brows between 12 to 18 months.Colour retention is affected by a range of factors and lifestyle elements. This can be enhanced and refreshed by a maintenance visit. We recommend a yearly colour boost for microblading and an 18-month colour boost for any other brow techniques.A touch up visit is also required around 6 to 8 weeks after your initial appointment. This is important for ensuring the richness of colour, density of shape and longevity from the procedure. We cannot guarantee outcomes, as each person’s skin will respond slightly differently and pigments tend to be broken down at different rates. But, as a general rule, the colour can last from 1 to 2.5 years.

DOES IT HURT?

People do vary in their level of sensitivity, so individual experiences do vary. Some clients do find the procedure a little uncomfortable, while many others report no discomfort at all. The area can be a little sore for the first few hours and then tender to the touch for a few days.We take every precaution to ensure that the application is as pain free as possible. This includes the use of two topical anaesthetics. Additionally, the procedure may be more uncomfortable if you are currently on your menstrual cycle, if you are a frequent smoker or if you have fibromyalgia.

HOW LONG BEFORE I CAN EXERCISE AGAIN?

For all procedures, we do recommend down time when you are healing. We ask you to avoid exercise for 48 hours, to allow the pigments to settle and any swelling to reduce. We don’t want to risk any pigment migration from the area by increasing your temperature and sweating. However at least after this period you will look your best whilst exercising, short term down time for long term satisfaction.

COSMETIC EYELINER FAQS

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

Your tattoo will naturally fade over time. The rate of fading will be influenced by a number of aspects, like exposure to the sun, the products that you use, the colour of your tattoo and any medical conditions. Following the aftercare instructions closely helps reduce the amount of fading. As a general guideline, eyeliner tattoos can last between 18 months to 4 years.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

You will not experience your final eyeliner appearance right after your procedure. The skin needs time to heal and you will need your touch up appointment as well. You will also experience some initial swelling, which may last up to 48 hours. The colour will appear darker for a week or so and will fade during the healing process.

WHAT IMPACTS COLOUR LOSS?

Following the post-procedure instructions is the most important way to reduce colour loss. Nevertheless, you will experience colour loss across the life of your tattoo due to the pigments used.Key factors that can influence colour loss include: sun exposure, chlorine, some medications, differences between individuals, strong skincare ingredients (like Retinol A) and the chosen pigment (lighter colours tend to fade faster).

DOES IT HURT?

Anaesthetics are used to make the tattoo experience as comfortable as possible. Because the ink does not go deep into the skin, there is typically very little pain. Some individuals feel no discomfort at all, while others may find the process slightly strange.

  • Use water based makeup remover

  • Do not pull on your lashes (this may cause your natural lashes to come out prematurely)

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO APPLY EYELASH EXTENTIONS?

The application process for classic lash extensions usually lasts around 1 hour.

CAN THE EYELASH EXTENTIONS BE REMOVED?

Yes, lashes can be removed with gel adhesive dissolvent.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS OF THE GLUE?

Ethyl-s cyanoacrylate & poly methyl methacrylate

ARE EYELASH EXTENTIONS SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE?

No, they are not. People who have had an allergic reaction to eyelashes before are not able to try eyelash extensions again. If you suffer form allergies, wear contact lenses or you have had eye infection issues before, eyelash extensions may not be for you.

HOW LONG DOES THE MAKE UP LAST?

Cosmetic tattoo inks are designed to fade over time. Their fading can be influenced by a variety of factors, including sun exposure, the skincare products used and individual differences in the skin.
The colour of your tattoo will also influence fading. Softer colours tend to fade faster, while darker colours can last longer. As a general guideline, lip colour can last anywhere from 18 months to 5 years.

WHAT AFFECTS COLOUR LOSS?

Some of the most significant areas that can influence colour loss are:

  • The pigment. As a general rule, lighter and more subtle colours tend to fade the fastest.

  • Sun exposure. Keeping your lips out of direct sunlight and wearing sunscreen can help reduce any potential colour loss.

  • Strong skincare ingredients. Skincare with ingredients like Retinol A, salicylic acid and glycolic acid can decrease the colour in your lips over time.

  • Chlorine. Chlorine from swimming pools is also notable. Regular swimmers are likely to find that their colour decreases faster.

  • Medications. Some medications may increase the rate of colour loss.

  • Individual differences. The way a person’s skin responds to a permanent tattoo is not entirely predictable, as there are many differences between people. As a result, some people may lose colour faster than others, even when all other factors are the same.

PLASMA FAQS

Phi Ion treatment is based on creation of a series of minute dots adjacent to the tension lines on the skin, this process triggers an instant contraction & tightening of the skin fibers to create a lifting, re-modeling and rejuvenating effect.

WHAT IS PLASMA?

The principle involves the ionization of gases from the atmospheric air to create micro electrical discharge causing sublimation( direct turn solid substance in gas) of the excessive/sagging superficial skin layer.

This method is used to treat specific areas of concern without damaging the surrounding tissue or applying unwanted heat energy to them.

IS PLASMA INVASIVE?

Plasma is much less invasive than laser. Phi-Ion Pen is a practical portable device that ses a precise focused beam of plasma energy to sublimate the superficial epidermis layer of the skin, without causing any damage to the underlying or adjacent tissues.

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED

Phi-Ion provides an effective non -surgical blepharoplasty (baggy eyelid correction), can be used for non surgical neck-lift, scars treatment including acne scars as well as wrinkles tensioning.

IS THERE DOWN TIME REQUIRED?

Clusters of yellowish spots up to 0.2mm in diameter will appear in the treated area and remain visible up to 5 days. Eye lids may get swollen and the client may feel tingling. There is no after treatment cream that needs to be applied and the client can use foundation to cover the treated area.

All side effects should disapear with 7 to 10 days.

After the treatment, DO NOT:

  • Use aggressive hygiene products (frangrances, soap, etc.)

  • Expose to direct sunlight for 2 days by no means with strict reccomendations to wear dark sunglasses and hat with a SPF 50 sunblock daily pre & post treatment.

  • use sauna, swimming pools, public bathing and tanning beds for 5 days.

  • Expose yourself to physical exertion and sport activities accompanied by excessive sweating for 5 days.

MICRO-NEEDLING FAQS

The skin treatment choice for a brighter, smoother, more youthful complexion.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

A special pen-like tool fitted with a cartridge containing tiny needles glides smoothly over your skin, creating tiny micro punctures, These tiny needles are so minute that you will barely notice them. Pairing the needling with specialised serums means all precious anti- aging ingredients are directed exactly where they are needed.

The minor punctures created are recognised by the skin as damage, which triggers the skin's natural healing process. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the treated areas, resulting in firmer, smoother skin.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

A personalised targeted treatment plan will be devised in consultation with you. This could include some of the following options.

ANTI-AGEING

As we age, our collagen production declines which contributes to our skin lossing its elasticity. Additonally the stores of hylauronic acid that help with plumping  and the firmness of the skin become depleted. Micro-needling  with targeted serums can help improve the fine lines and wrinkles that contribute to the aging process. The thickness, texture and evenness of the skin can also be addressed.

To improve and maintain results, this treatment should be considered an ongoing part of your self-care routine following your initial treatment block.

PIGMENTATION- UNEVEN SKIN TONE

Pigmentated skin discolouration can be caused by hormones, sun exposure, your skin type and colour, trauma and medication. The natural pigment in our skin is called melanin and when triggered, becomes overactive and results in uneven skin tone and darker patches. the interesting thing about melanin is itsa protection factor for our internal organs it absorbs and reflects UV rays away from our skin. Tanned skin is damaged skin, Microneedling targets thep pigment producing cells in our skin and breaks them up. We introduce targeted serumsto help repair rejuvenate and feed the skin whilst discouraging the melanin production. We reccomend the use of sunscreen SPF 50+ and a serum to help block melanin production.

SCARRING

Scarring is something that most of us have experienced over our lives. Sacrring examples are wounds, cuts, surgery, acne, burns, stretch marks and skin conditions like eczema to name a few.

Many people are self consious about scarring and use make up to cover them in exposed places like the face, hands etc. The great news is that micro-needling can effectively target scar tissue to naturally produce an abundance of collagen and elastin. This is going to thicken the epidermis and grow new smoother skin with more even pigment distribution. Specific serums are used to penerate into deeper layers of the skin. The ingredients soothe, repair and feed the skin and encourage collagen and elastin production.

ACNE

Micro-needling is a very effective way to target acne and the scarring it leaves behind.

Jive serums targeted specifically for ance and scarring are applied to the skin. Jive has a high content of hyaluronic acid for intensive treament, improved curculation, thus reducing the posibility of clogging the pores. This is absorbed into the deeper layers through the tiny punctures created by the needle cartridge. This helps skin health greatly by soothing inflammation, reduces post-inflammatory spots and immediety provides moisture and softens the skin. This make the skin cleaner and more radiant.

ENLARGED PORES

Enlarged pores can be cosmetic concernfor some. Its hard to achieve that clear flawless looking skin when we have an uneven skin texture. Usually, congested skins have enlarged pores as they are generally oily or combination skins. The chin nose and cheeks are mainly the ares where these large pores are found. In some cases, sun-damaged skins that tend to be drier lose their elasticity  or ability to shrink back. Make up tends to enphasize enlarged pores. Micro-needling helps to reduce pore size by creating a natural wound healing response in the skin. As the skin goes through the natural rejuvenating phase, new collagen and elastin fibres are formed. These help plump and tighten the skin. Targeting serums are used to feed and repair the skin and assist with plumping.
