PHI BROWS

Microblading aftercare

You will experience mild redness, bruising, swelling and tenderness immediately after microblading treatment. While the treated area is healing, you may have some mild itching, flaking and crusting; this is normal.

DO NOT

  • Pick, peel, rub or touch the treated area with your fingers

  • Use antibiotic creams on pigmented skin

  • Wear makeup near the treated area for the first 3-4 days, except mineral make up that has been approved by a technician

  • Receive any beauty therapy treatments until your skin has healed

  • Expose the treated area to excessive sunlight, tanning treatments, saunas, salt water, chlorinated water or direct shower spray

  • Use AHA or retinol products on the treated area, as these products will fade the pigment colour

  • From days 2-7, do not get the treated area wet and for the first 3-4 days, do not use facial cleansers on the treated area.

One hour after your treatment, wash your hands thoroughly and then gently wash your brow with the cleanser that was provided by Bare Perfection Beauty. Carefully wipe the treated area clean and let it dry before sparingly applying the prescribed aftercare cream with a clean, single use cotton bud. Repeat this step every 2-3 hours in the first 12 hours and apply the prescribed aftercare cream sparingly after each clean with a single use cotton bud.

HEALING JOURNEY

The following is a potential journey of what you may experience over the next 4-6 weeks. It is important to remember that not everyone experiences each of these.

DAY 1-2

Your eyebrows will become darker and darker as the pigment and lymph (dead blood cells and plasma) oxidise. You may think they are too dark, too big, or uneven and you may even regret having your brows done at this point; this is normal!

DAY 7-10

You will have a moment of relief and think "That's more like it!". You may also have some crusting or flaking starting to form.

DAY 14-25

This is when you may think "Where on earth have my brows gone? It hasn't worked!". During this time, your healing skin cells are opaque or see-through and you may not actually see the pigment that was implanted. This is normal and the colour will reappear.

DAY 21-28

"Aha! There they are!". And yes they do need a touch up. Having a few hair strokes missing or parts of a hair stroke missing is quite normal. You can lose up to 40% of the colour and or strokes between your first and second treatments.

DAY 28-42

We do a second treatment to refresh your brows. You will go through the same healing process as above. Not every hair stroke is touched up, so during the second healing cycle your eyebrows can appear very patchy.

PHI REMOVAL

Cosmetic tattoo removal

As it appears, dab off the lymph that oozes out, with a clean, soft tissue, pressing on and off the treated area. The following morning, using a clean, damp, warm face cloth, remove the lymph by gently holding the cloth on the treated area, waiting for the lymph to dissolve and gently wiping to remove it. Keep the treated area out of the sun for the first 48 hours and, after this time, use an SPF 30+ sunscreen or moisturizer for protection. Let your therapist know if you have any questions or concerns immediately post-treatment or during the healing process.

AFTER CARE

If a thin scab is formed:

  • Keep the scab dry for 2 days

  • Do not use decorative or hygiene cosmetics for 7-10 days

  • Do not remove the scab yourself; leave if to peel off naturally

  • Do not use tanning beds and avoid the sun for 2 weeks after the procedure

  • After this period, be sure to use an SPF 30+ sunscreen or moisturizer for protection. (Tattoo removal can make your skin sun sensitive and several weeks protection is required after the procedure.)

  • Avoid any baths, saunas and pools for a week after the procedure

  • Avoid any facial treatments for 10-14 days after the procedure

  • Due to increased sweat secretion, avoid any exercise for 7 days after the procedure

  • Keep in touch with the professional who has performed your procedure and inform them about your skin condition on the third day

Stick to the aftercare procedures recommended with the professional who has performed your procedure, after your treatment

Lash Aftercare

We know you want your lashes to last as long as possible, so here are a few helpful tips to keep them going strong.

  • Please do not gym, hot yoga, sauna, play sport or shower for 12 hours after your appointment. Your lash adhesive is still curing, and your lashes are delicate during this important time. Steam and heat are not our friends.

  • Wash your lashes. After the 12 hour curing time, please remember to cleans your lashes with a foaming lash cleanser, every day. Simply squirt lash foam onto your hands while in the shower and gently massage through your lashes. Rinse by allowing the shower water to run through your lashes. Gently pat dry, then brush with a spoolie into place.

  • Please do not pick or pull your lashes. Your lashes are delicate and special and need to be treated with love.

  • Do not use oily products around your eyes. Oil will cause adhesive to break down and your lashes will not last long.

  • Please do not put mascara on your lashes this will make your lashes stick together, making it impossible to preform an infill.

  • Please remember to book your appointment ahead of time. Lashes will only be infilled if 50% or more of your lash extensions are remaining. If there is less than 50% of your extensions left your appointment will be considered a full set.

  • Rock your lashes, post about your lashes, hashtag your lashes!

  • Thank you for following the lash world rules, see you next time!
